So after about two years of debating whether to start a personal lifestyle blog or not, I’ve decided to take a nose-dive into it and give it a shot. And I’m using the start of “spring” as an excuse to finally do it.
I put “spring” in quotation marks because it hasn’t felt much like spring in the Midwest. It’s the middle of April, but Wisconsin still has snow on the ground, and the temperature definitely still makes it feel like winter outside. Regardless, I’m trying to stay positive and hopeful that the real spring is right around the corner. And until Spring 2018 decides to show up for good, I’m going to keep myself busy with new goals I’ve made for myself - including launching this blog!
I’m mostly starting this blog to hone my own writing skills (they’ve been seriously lacking since graduating college), and to share a few experiences I’ve had, things I’m passionate about, and some life updates with anyone who bothers to read my posts. Here are some of my goals for this new hobby of mine:
Consistently publish new content (aim for one post per week).
Post only about things I know or am passionate about.
Stick with it and don’t get discouraged or lazy.
Be authentic and use only my own photos/content.
Have fun with it and don’t let it stress me out!
So there ya have it - some of my plans to kick-start and grow this blog. Starting this is probably one of the more daunting goals I have ever made for myself, but I’m hoping to have some fun with it. If I can keep up with the craziness of life and hold myself accountable, you can expect to see about one new post per week (no promises, though). But again, it’s been awhile since I’ve written anything, so please bear with me until my writing skills are back up to par! And if you happen to have any tips for a first-time blogger, let me know in the comments! :)
