How to Tackle Mondays Like a Boss

True Story: No matter how hard I try every weekend, I have never successfully been able to prevent a Monday from coming 😜 I officially go back to work tomorrow after having the summer off, and while I know that I don’t really have a right to complain, I know it’s going to be difficult to get back into the groove of things after having so much time away. Mondays can be hard - especially the first Monday after a long break, so I’m taking some steps today and tomorrow morning to ensure I have the best, most efficient first day back to work that I can! I definitely won’t be taking on the day without a “latte” coffee in my travel mug, but take a look at how else I will be tackling Monday like a boss!

How to Tackle Mondays like a Boss:

  1. Go to bed early Sunday night to get as much sleep as possible - Mondays go way smoother when you feel well rested, and nothing is worse on a Monday morning than hearing a co-worker tell you that “you look tired” 😑

  2. Squeeze in a quick workout/stretch/yoga session to get your blood flowing after you wake up

  3. Spend a little extra time on your appearance (if you want). For me, if I feel like I look good, I feel good. And if I feel good, I’m able to accomplish more!

  4. Lay your clothes out for the day the night before to save some time in the morning

  5. Pack your lunch ahead of time so you’re not rushing to put it together before heading out the door - I try to meal prep for the week the best I can on Sunday

  6. Wake up with plenty of time to make yourself breakfast and enjoy your cup of coffee/tea

  7. ...Or plan to “treat yo self” on Monday mornings with a specialty coffee drink from your favorite cafe or coffee shop

  8. Listen to some of your favorite, pump-you-up songs on your commute to work

  9. Make a to-do list as soon as you get to work - make sure to include some easier tasks that can easily be accomplished to keep you motivated

  10. Start your day with as positive of an attitude as possible! If you believe that it will be a good day, it’s more likely that it will be! 😊
